While there are many similarities between RPA and chatbots, RPA limitations include decreased employee support and overall morale, lack of complex nonlinear process support, error creep due to associated scripts RPAs follow, management of multiple RPA solutions, hidden costs, and additional governance over established algorithms.
Chatbots facilitate intelligent dialogue between people, systems, and things, and offer benefits RPA software does not including: enhancement of digital interactions for customers and employees, reduction of app fatigue, simplification of complex interfaces for humans who use them, retention of human-like interactions that employees and customers respond to most positively.
