RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for an experienced technical and business proposal specialist with strong technical writing/proofreading capabilities, to work as a part of the Presales team reporting under Sales Vertical and contribute to creating compelling business and technical proposals to the prospective clientele of Kore.ai. This role is a combination of proposal coordination and proposal management role and responsibilities. 

The candidate should: 

• • Understand the business and technical requirements of the prospective client, scope of work, and be able to comprehend a solution & implementation approach and not just respond to standard questions. The idea is to have an SME in the team who has the zeal to learn about the platform and express/present it creatively in every proposal. 
  • Have working knowledge of AI-based conversation platforms and cloud-based NLP/NLU/NLG services. This will be an added plus. 
  • Ensure that the proposals are fully executed from beginning to end, coordinating the proposal process within timelines. This role requires extreme due-diligence and ownership qualities. 
  • Ensure that the proposals are grammatically correct, concise, well written, properly formatted, and directed at the appropriate audience.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders at all levels, right from the Executive C-suite to developers, engineers, and Sales POCs, both across business and technology teams, and outline each stage of the proposal and create a schedule to meet all necessary deadlines in a seamless manner.
  • Frequently interview SMEs and contribute to department goals by gathering the latest supporting materials from various sources for incorporation into future proposals and other corporate documentation.
  • Assist sales team in crafting sales pitches, qualifying prospects, providing knowledge & insights regarding prospects, customers, partners, and competitors in a timely manner and support in pricing estimation and proposal. 
  • Be a custodian of several trackers and documents/decks important to the presales team and also assist in maintaining the RFP and proposal archive.
  • Contribute to sourcing and scanning the market for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs in regions across the globe. 
  • Strongly adhere to the processes laid down by the presales department and work towards improving it as a continuous improvement activity.
  • Work collaboratively with graphic designers, content editors, and marketing to enhance the proposal.
  • Be accountable for quality checks, maintain a quality checklist to ensure 100% quality on all documents

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience working in pre-sales teams of Technology/Product start-ups
• Background in AI/ML/Analytics/SaaS is a plus
• Professional Certification in technical writing, journalism, or communications is a plus.
• Professional Certifications/Training from APMP and affiliates is a plus.
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience as a proposal writer and a minimum of 2 years as a proposal manager or coordinator.

• Ability to perform the Win & Loss Analysis.
• Ability to work to deadlines, highly adaptable, and well organized. Should be able to adjust to last-minute requirements, and occasionally late evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines. 
• Excellent attention to detail, oral, written, and presentation skills, confident communicator with a flair for storytelling. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, preferably in US English
• Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders at the VP/C-suite level both in written and verbal
• Ability to work with sales teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing
• Should relish Multi-tasking, and effectively handle crisis management
• Driving subject matter experts to produce winning content
• Good presentation skills

Tools & Expertise: 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Comfortable working with Google Drive, Slides, Docs & Sheets
• Macro coding knowledge is a plus. 
• Conduct Online Meetings & Virtual Collaboration
• Comfortable working remotely under Work From Home Setup
• Design experience/Creative background is a plus
• Working Knowledge with the ARIBA & other sourcing portal is a plus.
• Working knowledge with any Proposal Management software is a plus, e.g RFX360, RFPIO, Loopio, etc. 
• Basic Understanding of CRM tools e.g. Hubspot, Salesforce, ZOHO, etc. 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION  

• MBA/MS/MCA/MA with Business Communications focus, from a recognized and acclaimed institution.
